The ease of manipulating Google maps has spawned any number of useful, imaginative adaptations. Take a look at WalkScore.com. You can find the "walkability" rating of your house (or any other house, of course). Walkability includes the proximity of a location to stores, parks, schools and other destinations as well as other pedestrian-friendly qualities. (My house scored 94. Yay!) So whether you're thinking about relocating or just curious, you'll have fun plugging in addresses at WalkScore.
